Large Doll House!!! This is an Exceptional Doll House, that some say should be in a Doll Museum or some place for all to enjoy! It is done in a "German" style outside with every detail imaginable. Obviously, by the photos, you can see it needs some TLC and repair, but not anything serious. This house actually has been written up before and I will include the documents with the House, but here is the story I have on it: "Grandma's Old House" The history of "Grandma's Old House" as I know and have been told is as follows: It was constructed in the 1940's as a "Brothel", complete with the clients waiting on the porch and the Madam sitting in her chair along with one of the "Ladies" in a bath tub. There have been a few owners over the years, each contributing to it their own touches and additions. As I understand it used to have red carpeting. It was purchased in 1989 from a Christian Couple at an Auction. They had turned it into a real Grandmas house! They replaced the red carpet with fake fur and added the children. They had glued all the furniture to the fur carpet and it wouldn't stand up straight. It was removed and hardwood floor was put down. Lace curtains and crochet pillows were added. It was always decorated for Christmas, and a picture is included. There were lights across the front and sides of the roof and posts and railing. Santa and his reindeer sat on the roof and two of his elves looked on. I think you will find all of the wood furnishings quite unique. Someone put a lot of time, patience, imagination, and hard work into the original construction, including the rock chiminey and bricks. It has been fun playing with it but it is time for new blood to take over. I hope you will enjoy it as much as my family and I have. As you can see by the photos, I am including some Christmas ornaments for it that haven't been used. There is electricity to it for the lights inside, but the cord has fraying in it, because of the age and needs to be fixed or replaced. This is a Super Heavy Doll House and weighs over 35 pounds. Here are the measurements: 30x20x21 I have many more pictures but you can only put so many on e-bay. There are details all over like birds on the railings, mailbox, 2 dogs, cat in window, house number, door knocker, opening gate, sliding glass window, rock fireplace, wood stove, bed with quilt, doormer windows, rock chiminey, wood shingle roof, etc. It needs a good cleaning and TLC. The lady in the bath tub is missing, she ran off with one of the other guys, but the bathtub is there. Any questions, please ask. SHIPPING: I can only ship this Crated, with Foam and padding etc. because of the detail, and weight, and size. It is going to be around 250.00 to be Crated and shipped. If it ends up being less to your location, I will give a refund for the difference. It has to be insured also. If you have ever had anything Crate shipped, you know the costs for the wood crate and labor/shipping. This is the only way for this item.
